About Brolga Construction

We are a primarily a masonry construction company that have been serving the North Bay and surrounding area for the past 31 yrs. We concentrate on the commercial, institutional and industrial sectors but also do a small amount of residential work.

President of the company is Martial Gerolami.

Martial's Education:

Attended Ecole Secondaire Algonquin graduated in 1980.

Graduated from the Aircraft Maintenance program at Canadore in 1982 then returned to school in 83 in the Process Control Technologist program. Graduated from PCT in 1986.

Certificate in " Management for Constructor Superintendents" received this training at Canadore College. Completed this in December 1989

My father was a masonry contractor for 40yrs and this is where I received my training as a bricklayer / masonry contractor. This is what we refer to as the "School of hard knocks". My father taught me how to estimate and run a masonry crew. I was also fortunate enough to inherit most of my father's crew who taught me and mentored me in my initial years as a contractor. These men where the best of the best in the industry and what they taught me has made me what I am today.

St-Francis Day care addition
Masonry load bearing building addition to house new day care facility at St-Francis School North Bay. Designed by LEA Architects and WS Morgan General Contractor.
MNR Fire Facility
10,000 ft2 masonry load-bearing building. This was constructed as a post disaster building. Located on Voodoo drive at the YYB commercial park North Bay.
MTO PRJ Window replacement and Masonry repairs
Brick repairs on the MTO building on McKeowen Ave. North Bay. This project involved replacement of all exiting glazing and repairs to Brick veneer. Also caulking replacement. We were involved in the caulking and Brick repairs. Project will be completed in spring 2018.
Canadore College Health and Wellness Center
This is a 15 million dollar addition to Canadore College at the main campus location. This is part of the new Village project and it will house some new courses not offered before at the college. It is going to have an extensive indigenous studies program.
Joe Mavrinac Aquatic Complex
New pool addition to the community center Kirkland Lake, On Masonry on this project was in the mechanical room and locker room areas, with a small amount of stone veneer work at main entrance. This project was started in late summer 2017 and masonry was completed in January 2018. Project had approximately 26,000 block and 400 pieces of veneer stone.
North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit
New health unit building located on Oak Street in North Bay. This building comprises of approximately 64,000 brick and 4000 ft2 of natural stone. This was designed by Mitchell Jensen Architects and General Contractor was Tribury Construction of SUDBURY.
Equipment
Rough Terrain Telehandler
Manitou 1440 Telehandler. This is a variable reach forklift. It has a 9000lbs capacity and a max lift height of 42 feet. This is our biggest piece of iron. The variable reach type forklift is an essential tool for a masonry contractor due to it's versatility in all types of site conditions.
