Mining Equipment specializes in rail mounted equipment. We have a very large inventory of diesel, battery and trolley locomotives in stock. Various models by Plymouth, Clayton, Brookville, Schöma, Goodman, Greensburg and General Electric can be offered. In addition to locomotives, we also have a large inventory of rolling stock such as muck cars, flat cars and mantrips. Mining Equipment also builds new rolling stock to meet our customer’s needs. Projects
Locomotives & Rolling Stock for Emisor Tunnel in Mexico City
Mining Equipment has delivered 15ton Plymouth Locomotives powered with New Cummins Engines and new Rolling Stock for the Aldesem JV building one of the Emisor Projects in Mexico City. The tunnel will help provide drinking water for the city of Mexico City.
Fans & Equipment for Rio Tinto – Kennecott Utah Copper
Mining Equipment continues to work with Rio Tinto at Kennecott Utah Copper. In recent months we have supplied numerous fans for their underground work. In addition, Mining Equipment has Moran Concrete Agitators, a rail mounted concrete pump, and other rental equipment working on the property for Kiewit Construction.
Plymouth 25ton Loncomotives for Shea/Kiewit in Indianapolis
Mining Equipment has recently supplied complexly rebuilt and repowered 25ton Plymouth locomotives to the Shea/Kiewit job in Indianapolis. New Cummins Tier 3 QSB engines were retrofitted in the locomotives. One unit was also equipped with an IMT 14,000 lbs. crane for taking out utilities and other work.
