WHAT WE DO

We employ highly-qualified, reliable, safety-oriented tradespeople, and supply them to contractors on an as-needed basis. This means you get the tradespeople you need when and where you need them.

We can supply as little as a single person for a single day or multiple crews over an extended period of time. You simply pay an hourly rate only for hours worked.

ONLY THE MEP TRADES

We're firm believers that "jacks-of-all-trades" are "masters-of-none". While most our competitors offer manpower in just about every trade known to man, we choose to stay focused on the "MEP" Trades - Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing.

We feel that by focusing, we're able to hire, retain, and deliver a much higher quality workforce. After all, if you're an electrical contractor you don't offer carpentry services, right? Neither do we.

WE HIRE THE BEST

Tradeco utilizes a comprehensive screening & hiring process to single out only those applicants that are highly qualified and very reliable. We don't have any qualms about giving away this "secret sauce" to hiring. Understanding it is simple; it's the execution that we've mastered and what sets us apart.

The steps toward being hired include:

1. Applicant Pre-Screen
2. Employment Application
3. Personal Interview
4. Reference Checks
5. Drug Test – 10 Panel Urine

WAGE COMPLIANCE

Tradeco Construction employs payroll professionals that are experts in wage compliance laws. You can count on Tradeco to ensure all Tradeco employees assigned to your project are receiving legally-mandated pay rates. Tradeco also accurately and timely prepares required Certified Payroll Reports which can be delivered to all appropriate parties, either electronically or by hard copy.

Most states (32 as of time of this writing) have Prevailing Wage laws that require contractors to pay no less than the minimum rates (to include wages, benefits, and/or other payments) published periodically by each state whenever any project is partially and/or fully funded by state and/or local government. The rules and regulations vary from state to state.

The Federal Davis Bacon Act applies to federally funded construction projects. In these types of projects, the Federal Government entity issuing the contract typically incorporates minimum rates to pay workers as part of the contract and those rates typically stay in force through the completion of the project. The rules and regulations vary from contract to contract.

If you are working on any project that is subject to Prevailing Wage and/or the Davis Bacon Act, you are required to not only comply with the minimum rates, but also carefully prepare and provide Certified Payroll Reports on a weekly basis to the General Contractor and/or the entity issuing the prime contract. It is also up to your company to be sure anyone you subcontract, including manpower services, is also complying with these laws. Not complying with Prevailing Wage and/or Davis Bacon laws can lead to harsh civil, and in some cases criminal, penalties.

A Reputation of Safety & Reliability

Safety

One of the most important aspects of a job site today is Safety, Safety, Safety. How many times have we heard the phrase Safety is Priority 1?? Owners, General Contractors, and Sub-Contractors, not to mention government agencies such as OSHA, all insist on it and quite frankly so do we.

We require all employees to be OSHA-10 Certified within 90 days of their first day of work. We demand and expect all employees to perform their duties adhering to safety rules, regulations, and guidelines, and to immediately report any unsafe conditions to job site management and their local Tradeco office.

Reliability

Study after study shows that tardiness and absenteeism are among the top challenges facing employers today. If you’re a contractor reading this, I’m sure you’ve experienced these same challenges in your own business.

Tradeco Construction maintains a strong culture of reliability – demanding and expecting each of our employees to be consistently reliable when it comes to showing up for work. Specifically, we expect everyone to not only show up every scheduled day, but also arrive 10-15 minutes before the start of their shift.

Our ability to deliver a reliable, safety-oriented workforce to job sites is probably the top reason our customers choose Tradeco over any of our competitors. Customers tell us it’s our biggest differentiator.
