About Hinton Scaffold Solution Inc.

Scaffold Solutions - What we do

  •  When our clients have an access problem we are the solution. Hinton Scaffold Solutions provides highly experienced and skilled professional scaffolders to our clients projects. Our management team and labour have gained their experience on some of Canada's largest construction projects. We managed and coordinated over 600 scaffolders on site managing upwards of 25,000,000 pounds of scaffold material everyday. We introduced and successfully implemented our pilot project to enable digital scaffold requisitions and work tracking procedures that increased the efficiency of the work flow on site.
  •  What do we do? We deliver high quality scaffold builds in industry leading timeliness. We lean on our experienced team of skilled Scaffold supervisors and Journeypersons to identify collisions, bottlenecks and points of overlap.

• Scaffold Services

  • We provide scaffold design and planning, erection, dismantling, inspection, and consulting services
  •  We provide digital management implementation solutions for scaffold management and process.
  •  Accredited to provide SAIA scaffold training. A globally recognized program that meets ESC (Energy Safety Canada) and OSHA standards. We can effectively advance our team to the next phase of their training when they are ready without the wait. We are in the process of revolutionizing the training delivery for scaffold programs. A soon to be announced grant has been awarded to our team to deliver a digital LMS platform for scaffold training as well as a virtual reality environment to educate on scaffold hazard awareness and practical scaffold assessment.
  •  Our clients often need deeper insight into the scaffold process and the efforts involved. Scaffold can be costly so it is important that we minimize unplanned modifications and rework that delay schedule and cost the project money. We use off-site engineering to design stamped scaffolds for specialty work

Professional and skilled - How?

  • The majority of our team has experience that was developed in the most arduous and unique situations of Canada’s major construction projects. The difference here is that we are scaffolders first. We believe scaffolding should be a regulated trade. Other companies provide Carpenters first that take secondary scaffold training programs. We only provide scaffolders to perform scaffold work. Our team has undergone training under the SAIA (Scaffold Access and Industry Association) training program.
  • Everyone on the Hinton Group team believes in the growth of the company. Coming from larger companies, we have seen how it is to feel like a number within your organization. With Hinton, everyone knows your name. And we treat each other with respect and dignity. We involve all levels of the team in the project. An involved team member wants to be part of something. They want to succeed. They take pride in their work, and that helps deliver the project on schedule.

Why were different
Hinton Scaffold Solution embraces change. We advocate for change in the form of innovation. We take a new perspective on our approach to managing scaffold work on projects. This comes in many forms.

Independent Inspection Group
? Safety is the utmost importance for our team. We have a record of 0 incidents and there's a reason for that. This starts at the administrative level. Our approach to inspections of our scaffolds is that we identify and select some of the most experienced scaffolders on the team and empower them as an independent group that answer only to the Superintendent. By removing the hierarchy of command, we’ve eliminated the conflict of approving scaffolds for the sake of the supervisor to move forward. Traditional settings will have the foreman of the crew that built the job approve the scaffold and apply a tag. We have observed that as foreman are narrow focused on completing tasks, they don’t have the same objective eye that a 3rd party may have. The independent inspectors have that ability to focus completely on the safety factor and the authority to deny scaffolds that are not up to standard. This also lifts a time consuming task from the foreman to better serve their crew and increases planning for the next task
.
? We have implemented that when a project is busy. We create a material group within our group to assist all crews in performing their work more efficiently. Each crew communicates their material needs to our material group and the material group coordinates and delivers bulk loads to the work location of our crews. By controlling the flow of materials and running through one group, we increase the efficiency of the project overall. The crews keep moving and working on the task at hand. Traditional methods have each crew search and collect their own materials for their task. Much overlap occurs slowing down the project efficiencies overall. For example. As a crew member from one job might be looking for a similar item as another crew, they could have two members of the project circle each other through the same yards. Wasting 2 peoples time. Whereas the material group members have a keen knowledge of materials on site and their locations (both where things are and where things are not).
